Compose and Code Lesson Plans
A Partnership to Implement the Inclusive Computer Science Model of Professional Development and a Digital Platform for PK-6 Computer Science teaching for Students with Disabilities
Here you will find lessons that are specially designed to be used with the Compose and Code platform. These universally-designed lesson plans integrate literacy with computational thinking and coding to help students learn how to animate their written compositions. They are designed to incrementally build computational thinking and coding skills and should be completed in order. They are also designed with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to make them appropriate for all students, including those with disabilities.
Lesson 1: Pattern Recognition
Lesson 2: Sequencing
Lesson 3: Decomposition and Abstraction.
Lesson 4: Algorithms
